When it comes to corruption we all stand up in one voice, raise banners, shout at the top of our voice
little realising that we aare the perpetrators, the culprits, we maybe victims at times. A person who works for State Bank of India, in my recent visit to Chennai
to my astonishment found out that holiday home, guest houses, are being used by executives to extended families, in this case the concerned executive one
Mr. Kasturirangan working at the Thanjavur area, has booked the guest house only meant for the dependants, for his daughter who is already married and her husband draws a handsome five figure salary, they reside at Bangalore The daughtes name is Nithya and her husbands name is Saravanaraja who works for a software company . At least this son in law who belongs to the younger generation should have refused, if he stands for values and ethics, he is capable of paying for a room of his choice, but then, the executive Mr. Kasturirangan who i am told speaks of values and ethics himself, stoops so low as to do this. This can be verified. Will the top management verify, conduct a enquiry - NO- because everybody follows the same practice, it is for thestaff and dependants, when questioned, the reply everybody does it why pick on me, or it was vacant.
such usage deprives a genuine staff member from using the facility. Instead of conducting a enquiry and stopping this practive, the said management will go on a witch hunt and try to locate the whistle blower and try to punish him. Else they have to take action against all executives, and maybe staff. Imagime this is the same bank which put on the notice board the photographs of defaulters of education loan. What ethics what practive, our bank blinks when asked can they put up the photographs of large borrowers, why this double standard. OK that is a public issue, what about executives like Kasturirangan doint this, i just quote him as a example. Will the bank gather guts and enquire, NO because sab chor hai kya karen. Jai Hind Long live the bank and its welfare activities, where married children, grandaughtes and great grand daughters, sons who are married and not dependant continue enjoy this faciltiy ats the cost of honest staff being deprived of their legitimate demand. The dates on which this gentleman Mr. Kasturirangan booked the facility at Chennai for his married daughter is 25,26,27 of August 2013
